| 英文描述 | Overo horses have white coloration on the abdomen that can extend to, but does not cross, the dorsal midline between the withers and the tail. Pictures of horses with this pattern are in the article by Santschi et al. White foals born to overo parents are almost always affected by myenteric aganglionosis and fatal functional intestinal obstruction; there are reports of affected foals with a single overo parent. Dx by histology at necropsy. Signs occur within 24 hours of birth and lead to death within hours or days. The prognosis is hopeless and there is no treatment. |
